Who do you think you are?

Hey beautiful people.

Happy new month! I keep forgetting that its march already. This year has zero chill. Anyway, I’m hoping your year is slowly unraveling into everything you prayed it would be. If its not, well there are still 305 days left. Now, for today’s topic

Me: who do you think you are?
Eme: I am so many things. I’m an amazing person. A woman with so much zeal and an affinity for independence. I am an optimist (I kinda have to be cuz well, God has my back). I’m an introvert on the road to achieving self confidence.

This is a very compound answer. It has a lot of different sides to it and one would easily say there’s nothing more to add. Well, apart from the other things like our titles which include wife, son, husband, sister, brother, daughter, C.E.O, student, doctor, lawyer, engineer, e.t.c

These are all really nice titles trust me. Especially the C.E.O, doctor, lawyer and engineer part. I mean come on! This is why we bother with school in the first place. But there’s something missing.

How many times do you say ‘I am a Christian’ when someone asks you who you are? Do you remember to tell people you are a prince or princess by virtue of the fact that your Father is the King of Kings?

Most of the time, we forget these things. Not intentionally (I hope), but because we have not fully accepted it as part of our identity. We attach so many titles to ourselves sometimes that we forget that above all the other things, we are royalty.

I don’t know if you guys listen to lecrae (if you haven’t heard any of his songs, you haven’t lived though) but there’s a song by him titled ‘boasting’ and the lyrics, like every other lecrae song does things to my soul! Basically, the song talks about how our boast should be in the Lord. And when we think about it, we realize that a lot of times, we forget that we are royalty. Whenever our identity is put into question, our first line of defense is to redeem ourselves with our worldly titles forgetting that we have a title that supersedes every other title we can acquire on earth.

Do you even know what it means to be royalty? Sigh! The opportunities we miss for lack of insight. I’ve heard girls say ‘I wish I was a princess’ countless times and the statement bothers me. Like bruv, you’ve been a princess all your life. You just haven’t noticed.

Imagine how beautiful our lives would be if we start embracing the titles bestowed upon us by our Father. The wonders it would do for your self confidence!   Don’t get it twisted. This doesn’t mean you should become stuck up and proud, cuz’ lets face it, nobody likes a stuck up princess. But when you embrace being a prince or princess, you start to act like royalty keeping in mind that God is king over us all and we must be humble and loyal to him. Your words and actions should portray royalty in a manner that will draw people to God so that they can share in our vast inheritance.

Also, when you embrace your crown, you will truly begin to believe that you can do all things through christ who strengthens you because you realise that Your father is the owner and sovereign ruler of the heavens and the earth. Therefore you will decree and it shall come to pass according to His will and no force under the heavens or beneath the earth will stand against it.

So stop belittling yourself. You are not useless. You are not a ‘waste’. You are much more. You are royalty! Pick up your crown, dust it off and rule the world

Hi, I am Fatima Olofu and I am a princess cuz’ well… My daddy is the king of kings!
Have the kind of week that makes you testify of great things on sunday.

Please Pray For Nigeria.

Hello beautiful people!

I want to apologize to you guys sincerely for the lateness of this post. I’ve been very occupied over the past couple of days but I’m here now! Well I’m sure you guys already know what this is about cuz’ the header gives it away. So here goes!

See ehn. I don’t want you guys to feel like I bombard you with too many serious things, but some things are just too important and well… serious to be postponed. Things like the current situation in Nigeria. As most of you know, there has been a series of issues in Nigeria for some time now due to the boko haram regime and a lot of innocent lives have been lost, homes destroyed, and families torn apart. I know what you’re thinking… ‘uhh, this has nothing to do with me and I haven’t lost anyone to it so why should I bother’. Well I’ll tell you why you should bother. Because it could have been you. Rant.

Hey blovers!

How are y’all doing? great I suppose. Guess what? I’m in Nigeria! And I’m sure most of you know what internet struggles we face down here so I’ll be lucky if you get to see this. Today I’m going to share a poem with you guys and its not the best but it was what I was feeling at some point so try not to cringe while you read. I beseech thee.

” Now we livin’ in a morally derailed world

Where its okay to call a female ‘bitch’ but

You’re not allowed to say that its wrong

Cuz its called sinnin’ when you judge

The men dress up looking so lost

Letting their trousers hang way low

They say the Godly fashion is old

But did Jesus hang for this? hell no.

So I’ll set the old me ablaze before hell consumes me

And renounce the titles my Father didn’t give me

Words like ‘bitch’ no longer describe me

I’ll surrender and let Him redefine me

Under angels wings I pray thee, hide me

When the odds rise, His grace will find me

I’m incomplete without you to guide me

So I lay it all down, everything, all of me”

Like I said, its not the best. so let’s not call it a poem. Ranting is a more appropriate word.

I have to sign off now guys so have an amazing week! xoxo

Conversations with God

Hi guys! Its the last sunday of the year. Woohooo! I’m actually really excited cuz’ 2014 went by really quickly. I mean i still remember the details of the last countdown and it´s been twelve months? Unbelieveable!

Well today, I’m going to share something that i think is very helpful for us christians, especially those who have a hard time praying or finding time to pray. Okay let’s start like this. What is prayer? (This is the part where you raise your hands really high cuz’ you want to tell me prayer means communicating with God) and you’re right. But what do we picture when we think about prayer? long hours on your knees with your hands raised above your head and tears streaming down your face? Err… Not quite. Continue reading

Be anxious for nothing.

Hey guys!

Its me Fatima or Teema, whichever one works best for you. Anyway i would like to apologise for the lateness of this post. The thing is, Eme and I have been quite confused about what our first post should be about. And after countless days of back and forths, we finally made a decision! Yay? Okay. So we decided on spirituality and before y’all start rolling your eyes, read the disclaimer.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a preacher, nor do I plan on becoming one in the near future. Whatever we post under spirituality on this blog is based solely on our personal beliefs and life experiences.

Think that was dramatic? Lol i get like that so pardon me :p Now let me cut to the chase. I’m a student and occasionally, there are times where I am faced with certain challenges that overwhelm me literally and it doesn’t seem like there’s a possible solution and if you’re a student, I’m sure you can relate. This week i had a couple of tests and to be honest, I only studied very well for one of them so as usual i was chanting ‘Jesus take the wheel!’ all over the place and telling everyone that cared to listen that Jesus had my back.
